Roger Moenks

Bio

Roger Moenks was born in Europe. His father’s career required the family to move around the world. He spent his youth in cities from Lima to Sao Paolo, Athens, Hong Kong, Paris, Cologne, Dubai, Harare, and Nairobi. As a teen, Roger played competitive tennis in semi-pro tournaments. His tennis brought him to New York at 18 and St. John's University. It was there he went on to earn a dual degree in psychology and a MBA in Marketing. He then turned his eye toward photography.

Roger’s first book, entitled "Class of Click," was a portfolio of models from the Click agency in the guise of a high school yearbook. He has done advertising campaigns for Montblanc, Isaac Mizrahi, Ritz Carlton, Pantone, 2xist, Joss Stone, and Target, a and his editorial work has appeared in L'Officiel, Harper's Bazaar, GQ, Interview, V, and Flaunt magazines.

His second book focused on movements with the American Ballet Theatre titles "Moving Still". His most recent achievement "Inheriting Beauty" a book comprised of 90 society women around the world such as Roberta Armani, Delphine Arnault, Kiera Chaplin, Francesca Versace.

Roger was commissioned by Montblanc and UNICEF to photograph12 celebrities such as Susan Surandon, Sienna Miller, and Emily Blunt, their portraits toured with Sothebys in 4 countries to raise money for UNICEF. In total, the images raised $224,000 for UNICEF.

Currently Roger is working on his new book and documentary titled " Eco Warrior" a collection of 50 global figures whose extraordinary accomplishments and visions have addressed the environmental crisis in an innovative, groundbreaking, or pioneering ways.

Roger resides in NYC.
